Mitten Realty Services Team


Doug Mitten has been licensed under the Real Estate Act of British Columbia since 1976 and is licensed as an Associate Broker.  During his tenure in the real estate profession Doug has been involved in many aspects of the real estate business including  management, training and of course, his first love in the business, the sales and marketing of real estate and real estate oriented securities.

Bonnie Mitten has been licensed under the Real Estate Act of British Columbia since 1978 and is licensed as a Representative.  During her tenure in the real estate profession Bonnie has been involved in many aspects of the real estate business including sales, training and teaching the salesman’s pre-licensing course to prospective new salespeople.

In order to provide the utmost in professional real estate service Doug has developed systems of marketing, data basing and customer and client management which contribute to an efficient comprehensive marketing program.  In addition, together with his wife Bonnie (licensed since 1978) they have developed their professional team to ensure that they provide the utmost in professional real estate service to their customers.  Employing their son, David, as an assistant allows Doug and Bonnie each to work their areas of strength thereby contributing to an even more professional approach to the business.  Accordingly, Doug specializes in the marketing and sale of properties for their customers and Bonnie specializes in assisting people in their purchase of a property suitable for them.  To further enhance the superior level of service that Doug and Bonnie offer, Prudential - Power Play Realty provides Doug and Bonnie with support staff to contribute to the efficient operation of the comprehensive programs employed to professionally market properties for their customers.

Doug and Bonnie bring to the “Prudential” sales team a diversified knowledge, experience and expertise in the sale and marketing of all types of real estate.  Their areas of expertise include the sales and marketing of:  pre-owned residential real estate; new homes; land assembly; development properties; lots and bare land; acreage, farms and hobby farms.

REAL ESTATE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - Doug Mitten & Bonnie Mitten:

September 1976 – Doug is licensed As a Salesperson with Mitten Realty Ltd.

1977 – Bonnie is employed by Mitten Realty Ltd as a secretary.

1978 – Bonnie is licensed As a Salesperson with Mitten Realty Ltd.

1978 – Doug and Bonnie Mitten assist in opening the Mitten Realty Ltd Langley office.

August 1984 – Doug successfully completed Real Estate Agents Course.  Continued to be employed with Mitten Realty Ltd. as an Agent 9:15

June 1987 – Doug is employed by Mitten Realty Ltd. as the Agent nominee and manager of their Langley office.  As a condition of agreeing to this position Doug required the opportunity to continue to sell real estate at the same time as looking after the management duties.

June 1992 - Mitten Realty Ltd. was acquired by Sussex Realty Corporation.  As a condition of this acquisition Sussex Realty Corporation required Doug Mitten to stay on as the manager of the Langley office.  Consequently, Doug was a part of the management team of Sussex Realty Corporation from June 1992 until October 1995.  During this period in addition to managing the Langley office Doug continued to sell real estate in the Langley/Surrey area.

October 1995 - Doug resigned from the management of the Langley office of Sussex Realty Corporation and returned full time to sales as an Agent 9:15 for Sussex Group-SRC Realty Corporation and subsequently for Prudential Power Play Realty when they bought the Langley office.

June 2005 – Prudential Power Play Realty is purchased by a group of their salespeople.  Doug participated in the share offering and becomes a part of the ownership group of the Prudential Power Play Realty Langley office.
